I'm so sorry, I didn't intend to make this any worse! >A<; I was hoping that by posting this message, people would settle down and stop being angry and forgive eachother for what happened. The reason I did decide to post this was because I saw that there will still ppl talking about this issue and I wanted to do something to hopefully help make it stop. That was my sole purpose for writing this >_<; I didn't mean to do this as an act to preach people or make it continue, as a member of this site that I love and want to continue being a part of, I just wished to be able to help somehow and give back to the community for what I did, I didn't mean any harm.
I had a few friends tell me that they were upset with how I reacted that day since they told me I'm a big influence on this site and many ppl look up to me so I had to be more careful with my actions, so I wanted to turn it around and make it right this time.
I intend this to be the last piece of notice pertaining to the drama, which is what I wrote this for.
I sincerely apologize for my actions, I hope you can forgive me. ;A;

I'm glad you didn't have to go thru this ordeal, it was giving everyone a huge headache. XD I'm so glad it stopped now~ ^^

That's the point really, she is not staff and this is bordering on what we consider back seat moderating. I am quite serious. Everyone needs to move on and let it die already. I can and will delete anymore fan arts made for this particular drama. It's over with and people need to just get over it already.

what I DON'T understand however is that there a few (not all) people (most whom only know half of the story) are taking joy in ATTACKING us for attacking this thief. I mean, attacking someone for attacking a thief isn't going to get us anywhere either is it?

And thus you learn why our site terms expressly tell members to report something and let us deal with it. We take care of it and this kind of dramariffic cycle of finger pointing doesn't happen.

This particular drama has gone on long enough. I will be deleting any more fan arts made and dedicated to it. Let the drama die already kids.

It's good this community can stay together since theOtaku really is like one big family. People grow not only in artistic style but in emotional stability and maturity. I absolutely love the message here. We all have things to learn and go through.

Is there so much bashing going on that it got into a three day fight. Yes that's exactly what I wanted to tell people. I mean, ok we artists may have said some nasty things to the thief and we're sorry for that, but that doesn't give the others the right to be so cruel to us because of it. We learned from our mistake and it's over now, but there are still those who continue to critisize our behavior, which is unfair. I think they just don't realize how much it hurts for an artist to have their work of art stolen and misused the way the thief did. It's emotionally scarring.
I want everyone to realize that the thief wasn't the only one who got hurt by getting hate mail and threats and such but the artists themselves have gone through a lot too. (I mean, we are the ones who got robbed from this prsn afterall XD) There's bound to be some upset words and cries out of this.
This thief stole like 9 of my artworks claiming it to be hers but what hurt most was that she had the nerve to steal my friends's characters and art and lie to her friends without feeling guilty (she lied to her friends by telling them that she made it for them, even tho it's stolen :/ What a friend huh?) Most of the art she stole from me was a gift I made for my friends. As an artist it breaks our heart to have our creation for a dear friend being used like this to lie and hurt people. That is what ticked me off. I don't rly care if she stole my art, I could care less, but I won't forgive her for stealing my friend's characters and use it to lie to her friends.
This was really hard on a lot of artists and I want those ppl to understand that we were rly upset and simply letting out our anger during that moment. Everyone snaps once in a while, anger is hard to control.

It's ok alot of ppl missed out on the drama (good thing too) there was this art thief who was causing a lot of anger and bashing amongst members and it resulted into a huge pool of sadness and hurt. I'm glad u weren't involved in this!

Yes, there was a whole lot of variety in what ppl said, like "that was lame of you, I lost my respect for you," "how could you do this? That was unexpected from u!" "It's ok, you just had a moment, don't sweat it" "You apologized and that should be enough so don't feel bad" etc etc.
What we said to the thief may have been heartless but that doesn't mean we don't have feelings too XD

I'm sorry I didn't know this was happening. I haven't really been on the Otaku these past few days much. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings if I did at all. I liked your drawing. I thought it was very beautiful and your message was very profound and well written. The Otaku is a second home to me and it feels like some of my old friends who I met when I first joined this site are leaving me or they just won't talk to me. To be honest,anymore I feel really lonely on the Otaku,like no one likes my work or no one likes to talk to me. I'm sorry I don't use fancy brushes in my wallpapers,I'm sorry if they're too simple. I may just close my Otaku account down. I just feel so lonely anymore.

I read through every word of this, and you know what I think about this. *winks*
The whole issue itself was really a tough thing for everyone on this site to deal with. Whether you were a new comer, a long-standing member or a moderator, or even the thief, all of it was a difficult obstacle that struck us all from behind.
Not only did it show us how easily communication and actions can be misinterpreted, but also the whole crisis showed us just how close we are to each other and what people's status and influence can lead them to do. From things in the past too, there has always been the problem of people being flamed for having voiced their opinion-and really in a way that isn't right. People are entitled to their own opinions-and no one says you or anyone else has to agree.

As I told you, Sayoko-chan, it takes two people to cause a problem: the person that says something and the person that responds. It's not so much the person that makes the mistake, it's the mistake itself that causes the problem. So really anything hurts everyone in one way or another. Like you said, there is no real good and bad for this-everyone was affected in some way.

We're all a really close family-whether we've spoken to each other or not. Although I haven't spoken to even the most popular people on this site, I still know their style/work and recognize them. ^^ We're a group of people that have respect for each other and that should definitely be something we all should be an example of.

Oddly the only time I let out my anger in public was when I left a comment on reeni's notice yet it made a big difference apparently XD And other than that, I just talked it over privately with sayura-chan as well (she's an angel >3<) I mean, ppl can't expect us to bottle up our feelings 100%, there are times when we just spaz and let it slip XD I even went back to the comment to erase the bad parts, I felt so bad >A>;

Indeed you are right, Sayoko-chan, I kept most of my anger inside(I only talked about how annoyed I felt on Sayura-chan's post, KPC's pic and KittyKoma's post), but everything's calmed down now, and I'm happy for that.
And there were people attacking you guys? Are you serious?

We all have our moments when we make mistakes, get angry and other things, but there's always a time to stop it and make things right, right?
